Advice for Road Runners: The HOKA Men's Arahi 7 Road Running Shoes continue to offer the support and cushioning that proved so popular in the sixth edition. An improved upper should lead to more comfort during your training runs.

Underfoot Feel

The HOKA Arahi 7 are stability running shoes. This means that their structure is designed to be more supportive than the structure of neutral running shoes.

The enhanced stability mainly results from HOKA's J-Frame™ support. J-Frame™ is a J shaped section of firmer foam. The J shape leads to the firmer foam extending along medial side of the shoe to a significant extent. The firmer foam limits the foots ability to roll inwards.

The Arahi 7 should feel protective underfoot, but still feel responsive.

Upper Fit

The Arahi 7's upper benefits from significant updates. A new flat-knit upper improves midfoot lockdown, while providing great breathability. In comparison to the Arahi 6, the tongue is plusher. Improvements have been made to the design to prevent tongue migration.

As HOKA only converts men's US to UK sizes by half a size, we recommend choosing your normal US running shoe size. There is also a wide-fit version of the HOKA Arahi 7, in case you're looking for a broader fit.

Ideal Run Type

The HOKA Men's Arahi 7 Road Running Shoes are best placed to be suitable for runs at slower to steady paces. However, as the cushioning does feel quite responsive, they should also feel good on faster sections of your daily training runs.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
